1. How is using this site going to help the environment?
According to industry research, it takes approximately two 20-year-old trees to produce 1,000 flyer packages containing 100 pages. By our calculations, The Weekly Tour website could save 260 20-year-old trees on the flyers that are currently being produced for the real estate market just in Johnson County, Kansas, each year! In addition, those flyers have to be delivered by automobiles that burn fossil fuel and further pollute the environment.
2. What else can we do to help the environment?
Each month The Weekly Tour will have new tip on additional steps we can take to conserve resources and protect our environment.

Understanding The Weekly Tour

3. What is the deadline for advertising my tour?
The deadline is just before 12:00 Midnight (Central time) three days prior to the tour date. For example, the deadline for the Kansas City Metro edition would be Friday night for the following Tuesday tour.
4. When are the new agent tours available for viewing, so I can plan my schedule?
The site will “refresh” just after 12:00 Midnight three days prior to the next tour date, allowing you to view the upcoming tours. For example, tours for the Kansas City Metro edition will be visible on Saturday morning for the following Tuesday tour. You can choose to be notified by email when the new tours are available to view by setting the opt-in preference in your profile.
5. Who will be able to view my tours?
Your tours can be viewed by all your fellow real estate professionals across the greater Kansas City region, but also other site visitors from all over. They can be viewed from any computer, PDA or smartphone.
6. What do the "tour feature" icons represent?
These icons can be used to help you identify the type of tour being held at a particular property:
lunch - indicates tour will be catering a meal
dessert - indicates tour may have anything from coffee to ice cream
drawing - indicates tour will be having some sort of drawing or giveaway
bonus - these properties have a new sales incentive or price reduction
lockbox - these properties will be available for you to view at your leisure during the specified time
7. I would like to have a lunch tour with a drawing. Can I use two icons?
Yes, you can use all that apply to your particular tour, in any combination you wish. These are here to assist you in communicating with other agents about your tour.
8. How can you provide such a great service for free?
This site is supported by our site sponsors and advertisers in our catering and professional services areas. Let them know how much you value this new tool for networking with other agents by using their services whenever possible; and let them know you heard about them through The Weekly Tour.
9. How can The Weekly Tour help me as a professional real estate agent?
The Weekly Tour can help you in many ways, saving you both time and money. You get greater reach than conventional paper flyers. You spend less time putting together copy for your upcoming tour. You will no longer have all those bulky publications in your mail box. The Weekly Tour is convenient and easy to use. And maybe best of all, it's FREE!!
10. Why do I need to register with my e-mail and market area?
Your e-mail address will allow us to send you weekly updates on current tour information and your market area will allow us to send you your desired geographical location of tours. Also, remember that your information is safe with us. We will never sell or share private personal information you provide on our site to any outside company.

Usage Tips

11. How do I make my images smaller to ensure they download quickly?
There are several tools available to allow you to re-size them and help meet that file size limit. We have several suggestions on our Image Uploading Tips page.
12. What image file formats and sizes provide the best results?
The following guidelines should help you:
  • Currently our photo upload feature supports images in GIF, JPG/JPEG, or PNG formats.
  • Only photos smaller than 1.5MB can be uploaded.
  • The best aspect ratio for property photos is 4:3 and for agent photos is 3:4 (width:height).
  • Also remember that to upload a photo, you must have all necessary rights to use the photo in this way and to grant TWT these rights according to our Terms of Use.
13. I uploaded a much larger property photo for my tour, why does it show so small?
When you upload a photo/image file along with your tour property or agent profile, our process will automatically make a "thumbnail" version of the file, reducing its dimensions to an optimal size. This feature helps ensure your tours will download and display quickly for most users.
